“Therefore also NOW, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with ALL YOUR HEART, and with FASTING, and WEEPING, and with MOURNING: and REND YOUR HEART, not your garments, and TURN UNTO THE LORD YOUR GOD: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.  Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?  Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and THE BRIDE OUT OF HER CLOSET.  Let the PRIESTS, THE MINISTERS OF THE LORD, WEEP BETWEEN THE PORCH AND THE ALTAR, and let them say, SPARE THY PEOPLE, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, where is their God?  Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.”  (Joel 2:12-18) 

Children of God, ALL who call upon the Name of the Lord, Now IS the time for “TRUE REPENTANCE”, for the Lord has been gracious and merciful towards us, Slow to anger and withholding his wrath.  But, indeed judgment shall come upon the earth, and shall begin with WE, The Church!  “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God” (Heb 10:31).  Thus, NOW is the time to put away the old man, the old nature and receive FULLY the new.  It is the time to return to the Lord our God with hearts rent and torn in sorrow and grief for our sins, and truly seek His forgiveness.  Now is the time to acknowledge our ABOSOLUTE NEED of a Savior, to recognize TRULY that APART FROM HIM, WE CAN DO NOTHING!  Now is the time to be TRUE God Chasers, to seek with all our hearts the GIVER and not the gifts, the SUPPLIER and not the supplies, to give him that which he DESERVES; OUR HEARTS.  Swept clean of the debris of filth and sin, of lies and unforgiveness, of hate and bitterness, of covetousness and greed, of pride and self righteousness, of ungodly lust and shame ALL of which has NO PART in the kingdom of God!  Now is the time to give Him that which he has so freely given us, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, and to worship Him not with just our speech, but from deep within our hearts.  For our speech means NOTHING, if our hearts are far from Him.  “Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart FAR FROM ME, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.   Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? And who knoweth us?  Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not?  Or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?” (Isa 29:13-16) 

The Lord withheld NOTHING from us, even his blood which was shed for the remission of our sins he poured out for us in genuine LOVE.  He took that which YOU and I should have been punished for as he’d committed NO sin, and carried the weight of all the evil and wickedness of the world to the place called Calvary, where it was nailed with Him upon the cross.  Uttering NOT a word in defense of himself, he bore the shame and guilt that WE should have experienced, and felt the utter pain of separation from the Father NOT because of what he’d done, but because of what WE’VE DONE!!  And what DO we give Him in return?  What HAVE we given Him in return?  What SHALL we give Him in return?  Rather than come to Him in sincere gratitude, genuine worship, with a truly repentant heart, we’ve come to him seeking gifts and giving him long lists of requests seeking MORE for what he can give, rather than seeking HIM!  And like spoiled little children who seemed to NEVER can get enough, when we’re not given that which we seek of him, we turn away throwing foolish tantrums and indulging in self pity parties!  Crying out to Him “You do not love me, if you loved me you would give me this or that!”  HYPOCRITES  we are for we say we LOVE him and speak these words boldly to others, yet our love is conditioned!  “If I get what I desire, than I will pray, I will worship you, etc, etc.” FOOLISH is our speech and our ways, for we cannot con the King of kings and Lord of lords into proving  his Love in the giving of gifts! “Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God!!” and yet this we do daily when we don’t receive that which we request from Him.  He has already given us the GREATEST GIFT IMAGINABLE, ETERNAL LIFE!  “Greater Love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends!” (John 15:13) Yet we nullify this gift, and seek the tangible which WILL fade away, but His gift is everlasting.  Oh why do we BREAK AND BRUISE THE HEART OF OUR BELOVED LORD JESUS?  Why do we GRIEVE the Holy Spirit of God?  Why do we make the message of the cross null and void by CLINGING to sin and refusing to repent!  To repent is not just a matter of being “sorry for our sins”, it is a matter of TURNING AWAY FROM our sins, and TURNING TO the one who paid the price for our sins.  How arrogant we are to think we can go on sinning and not be punished!   Such FOOLS we are to attempt to take advantage of the GRACE OF ALMIGHTY GOD!   Who are we in being so puffed up, that we can continue in sin and say within ourselves, because He is a loving and Just God as long as we confess our sins He will forgive, WITHOUT us turning away in repentance?   BECAUSE He IS Just, he will let NO sin go unpunished!  NO sin can be swept under the rug and covered up with a simple “I’m sorry”, and tomorrow we pull the sin from under the rug and allow it’s grip to take hold once again.  NO sin is hidden from the eyes of the MASTER!!  Our speech means NOTHING, what about our HEARTS!  THIS is what the Lord see, this is where He expects the change!    

NO, let us NOT go to the Lord in arrogance whispering in haste a meaningless “forgive me Lord”, when our hearts remain unchanged, when we refuse to let go of the sin that has kept us bound.  NO, let us NOT come to the Lord seeking forgiveness when the stench of our sins doesn’t touch our very own nostrils ENOUGH to REPENT!  We seek His forgiveness, and yet REFUSE to forgive one another.  We want Him to be merciful, and yet we are unable to show mercy towards one another.  We want Him to forget the pain we’ve caused Him, and yet we REFUSE to forget the pain one has caused us.  NO, let us NOT tell him again and again “I’m sorry” for the same things over and over when we KNOW in our hearts tomorrow, if given the chance, we will DO IT AGAIN!   Let us STOP with the lame excuses that we are only human and cannot help ourselves, for WE have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit who IS our Great help and when the flesh is tempted, the Lord ALWAYS provides a way of escape.  It is up to us to take that route.   

But NOW LET US COME to the Lord in weeping and mourning, in sorrow and grief, let our SHAME be VISIBLE hiding NOTHING, and our hearts be torn in Godly Sorrow which LEADS to REPENTANCE!  Let us RUN and NOT self-righteously walk to Him and cast the ugliness of our sins at His feet that they may be washed and cleansed by His Blood!  Let our hearts be consumed with a genuine LONGING, a genuine LOVE, and genuine NEED for JESUS such as we’ve never known before, desiring His presence, His fellowship, His friendship, His embrace, HIM COMPLETELY!  LET US COME SEEKING THE GIVER AND NOT THE GIFTS!   He LOVES us with an everlasting Love.  Let US love HIM in the same manner.  NOT just with our speech, but ALSO in our actions and deeds!    If NOT for HIM we would all be doomed to an eternal life separated forever from the presence and Glory and the LOVE of Almighty God.  We could not save ourselves, that is why HE CAME!  Let us turn away from ALL manner of wickedness and turn to HIM in “True Repentance”! 

Beloved Savior, Precious Lord, Forgive us of our sins..  Known and unknown Lord are cast at your feet as we come to you in Godly sorrow and True Repentance.  We NEED you Lord, for we know that we cannot do this alone, we are unable to save ourselves.  We are limited where you are limitless.  We are hopeless (without you) where IN you there is Hope!  How very loving you are to us in that you gave your life that we may live!  Forgive us for not showing appreciation for this AWESOME act of love.  Forgive us Lord for straying away from our first Love, but like a prodigal son and/or daughter, we are returning back to you asking you with all humbleness and sincerity to please forgive us and receive us as your own.  We surrender our hearts to you, and ask that you would be the Lord of our Lives!  Cleanse us of all unrighteousness and create in us clean hearts, acceptable and pleasing in your eyesight.   We put our trust and faith in you that you know the beginning and end to all things, therefore we cast all our cares, all our burdens, all our sorrows at your feet!  We thank you for the gifts that you’ve given, but more than this, we thank you for YOUR LOVE……..

My beloved Jesus, I love you Lord!  My precious friend, thank you for those wonderful times of fellowship.   Thank you for loving someone like me!  Thank you that it was not I who chose you, but YOU chose me and offered me a most precious and PRICELESS gift of which nothing can compare, ETERNAL LIFE with you my dear Savior.  Thank you for the Gift of the Holy Spirit who draws me close to you, close to Father and allows me an opportunity to get a glimpse of your Glory as I enter into that most sacred place of the Holy of Holies, where then it is ALL of YOU and NONE of me!  I adore you, and appreciate you!  Nothing and No one could ever take your place in my heart.  You are my dreams, my hope, my joy, my happiness and I await the day that I may embrace you and worship you at your feet for YOU are WORTHY.  I shall cling to you as a child clings to her father, and shall never loose my embrace.  YOU are what keeps my heart beating, YOU are MY HEART!  Heavenly Father, Thank you daddy!  Thank you for your son Jesus and for your Great Love for your children. For you so LOVED the world that you gave your only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but  have everlasting life.  Thank you for adopting me and calling me your own.  Thank you for being my daddy, when none other desired this title.  You so proudly accepted it and me with Joy.  Your LOVE is PRICELESS, NOTHING can compare. No one has ever loved me as YOU!   I LOVE YOU FATHER MORE THAN WORDS CAN EXPRESS.  My longing for you is BEYOND my speech, and FAR GREATER than my human mind can comprehend. I pray one day Abba, you would allow me the honor and privledge of crawling onto your lap as a child would, and rest in your most loving arms as I hope to hear you say…”Well done, thy good and faithful servant”. These words, would be my crown.  I trust your Holy Spirit would lead me, guide me, and equip me with all that’s needed to fulfill, that which you’ve asked of me.  I cannot do it alone, I NEED YOU!  I love you daddy, I love you Lord Jesus, I love you Holy Spirit.  THANK YOU for loving me……  Your daughter, Khandielese
