"TO KNOW HIS HEART"

"And hereby we DO KNOW that we KNOW HIM, if we keep his commandments." (1st John 2:3) Jesus said: "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." (Matt 13:34) "Thou shalt LOVE the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt LOVE thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." (Matt 22:37-40) "He that saith, I KNOW HIM, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as HE WALKED." (1st John 2:4-6)

If the question were ask of the church, "How many truly know Jesus?" the vast majority would raise their hands in declaration. However, the truth is, many within the Body know OF Jesus, but have yet to truly KNOW Him, for to truly know our beloved Savior, is to Know His Heart. This involves a commitment in dedicating oneself to an intimate relationship with Him in order to grow in Him, to learn of Him. If there is an unwillingness to take the time to develop a relationship with the Lord, than it is impossible to confess truly knowing Him. Without the fellowship of spiritual intimacy, how does one draw closer and share the very essence of the heart? To develop a strong, positive relationship of any kind requires commitment and dedication. We cannot assume knowledge of one’s heart, of one’s feelings, of one’s desires, but through sharing, we gain this knowledge as we draw closer in fellowship. It is not enough to simply read about our Lord as this will n the form of sharing your heart with him as you would to your closes and most intimate friend.

When we take the time to know the heart of our Lord, we will find our desires are to become more like him, and to live our lives such as He. Jesus’ heart is that of compassion and LOVE, and throughout the word his heart was greatly demonstrated as he reached out to the hurting, the needy, the suffering, the sick, the afflicted, the poor, the hungry, the brokenhearted, the friendless, the lonely, rejecting NOONE, but willingly and lovingly receiving ALL. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever as he continues to demonstrate his heart of compassion and Love, and always desirous to share his heart will all who would be willing to receive. Now, if indeed we profess to know Jesus, then we should be as He IS, for to KNOW His heart, is to HAVE His heart IN YOU!

The heart of every believer should be a direct reflection of Christ Jesus our Lord. Thus, we must begin to smooth out the rugged and rough edges, soften the stony areas, and alleviate all parts of "SELF", that we may shine brightly with the light of His Love dwelling within for ALL to see and Glorify our Father in Heaven. When we see one in need, HIS heart in us should respond. When we see one who’s lost, stumbling and searching for the way, HIS heart in us should respond. When we see one who’s hungry, HIS heart in us should respond. When we see one who’s Lonely, who’s in mourning, one who’s in need of a friend, HIS heart in us should respond. Jesus didn’t give any less of himself and neither should we, HIS BRIDE, HIS BODY, HIS CHURCH, and HIS HEART!

Now the question: "are we satisfied with just knowing OF Him, or do we desire to truly KNOW Him?" Are we satisfied with the portion of Glory we’ve seen thus far, or do we desire to see HIM in the very fullness of His Glory? Are we content with remaining in the "outer courts", or do we desire to enter into the Holy of Holies, to be in His presence, to see His Glory, to worship HIM! For in the "outer courts", we seek to receive and many are content in this area as much of "SELF" remains, and what we receive is only a "portion" of his awesome goodness and grace. There is so much more He desires to give and to share. But as we go behind the veil, and enter into the place of the Holy of Holies, we seek not to receive, but to GIVE. Give our WORSHIP, Give our PRAISE, Give our LOVE, GIVE our HEARTS, GIVE COMPLETELY OF OURSELVES!

Our beloved Savior desires to fellowship with each and every one of his children. He desires an intimate and loving PERSONAL relationship with every single one of us. He desires for ALL to KNOW HIS HEART that we may become like Him. Beloved saints of the Lord, are you willing today to put aside everything and spend quality, precious time with the one who loves you more than you could possibly began to comprehend? The one who’s reaching out to you today to share his heart with. The one that desires YOU to KNOW HIS HEART! Do you desire to truly know Him? If you truly desire to know him, open your heart and fellowship with him. Receive the HEART OF THE LORD!

I love you all so very much. Have a blessed week in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE!

May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always…….
