"THROUGH THE FIRE"

"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said to Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD." (Job)

As we go further into the book of Job we can read about the intensity of his great sufferings in detail. If the same burdens Job faced were placed in the lives of some "professing" believers today, many would collapse under the weight of it all. We tend to whimper, murmur and complain over the slightest of trials, thus, could not begin to bare for even a moment, the heavy weight that was laid upon Job’s shoulder. But, the fact remains that every believers’ faith will be tested "through the fire" at some point in his/her life. It is a necessary part of "spiritual" growth. If your desire is to draw closer to the Lord, to develop an intimate relationship with him, to walk righteously before him, to glorify him in your service, then your FAITH will be tested. If your confession has been that of trusting the Lord for ALL things, and standing on His word of TRUTH in every area of your life, then your FAITH will be tested. Every believer’s FAIT

Oftentimes, we, the church, the Body of Christ tend to look upon a brother or sister who’s suffering and conclude in our minds and speech, such a one’s suffering is a result of their lack of faith, or their sins and uncleanness of heart. However, such is NOT always the case. While it may be accurate for some, that the result of direct and blatant disobedience, caused severe and harsh suffering in their lives, we can look at Job as one example of suffering NOT as a result of disobedience. He suffered NOT because he’d sinned, NOT because he was disobedient to God’s commandments, NOT because he had an impure and evil heart, BUT because he walked upright and righteously before the Lord. The Lord knew Job’s heart, that it was faithful and true to Him, and the devil despised this of Job. Thus, he set out to destroy him, to discredit his claim of love and loyalty to the Father, and through a failed attempt he tries to prove Job’s motives

There are various reasons for trials and tribulations and one must go through the fire to either become REFINED or BURN. How you come out of the fire will be determined upon how you walked through it! For some, simply feeling the heat of the flames of trials and tribulations sends them running. They are not will to go through the fire to get to the next spiritual level. They desire growth, but would rather grow without pain. Thus, some may get a little burned and immediately back away. There are others who may step or are placed directly within the flames, and being led through the fire by the Spirit of the Lord, are able to come out NOT burned, but REFINED.

It is a most extreme and difficult time of testing that during the process one may experience grave and painful sufferings. Your friends may turn their backs on you, you may lose your family and loved ones, you may lose ALL your worldly possessions and gain, your name may be slandered and you may be spoken evil of by members of the body, your health may be attacked in the worst way, you may feel utterly alone and isolated, and there may be times when you feel you’re not moving through the fire at all, but simply standing in the midst of it. It is my personal opinion that WHILE YOUR’E STANDING STILL in the midst, this is the time of your being refined at BEST. If you attempt to rush through it all, to quickly put an end to the suffering, you may not come out of it as POLISHED as the Lord had desired of you. Keep in mind that as you patiently allow the Lord to bring you through it, although the intensity of the heat may rise during the walk, you

The bible says that Job "feared God, and shunned evil". He was a man of great integrity who loved the Lord and walked righteously before Him. He was blessed with a great abundance because of his Faith and Obedience to the Lord. Now, there came a day that the sons of God (angels of the Lord) came to present themselves before the Lord, and one stood amongst them with evil intentions as he’d come before God to accuse Job and attack his character as a righteous man of God. At the first opportunity given, he (Satan) lives up to his name and begin hurling accusations against righteous Job. Again, the Lord knowing the Heart of Job, that he would indeed remain faithful, Permits Job to be tested. In ONE day, Job lost his abundance, his children and later health, yet through it all he did NOT speak a word against the Lord God, but remained faithful to Him. Although he’d suffered much, in the end he regained it all back in double portion as the word of God says:g pleasing to the Father, nothing surpasses this blessing.

The accuser stands once again before the Lord, only this time, he’s gone to accuse YOU, to accuse ME. Thus, the testing begins. We are being prepared to go "Through the Fire." Remember the Lord will not leave you alone but will walk through it with you and as you remain faithful, not a hair of your head shall be singed, nor will you even smell of smoke, but shall come out of the furnace……REFINED AS PURE GOLD! Keep in mind also, the Lord permitted the testing of your faith because he knows your heart and trusts that you will remain faithful and true to Him, despite Satan’s accusations against you.

I love you all so very much. Have a blessed week in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE!

May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always…….
