This Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version) "THE TRUE TABELNACLE OF GOD"Our
fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking
unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen. Which also our fathers that came after brought in
with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our
fathers, unto the days of David; Who found
favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. But Solomon built him an house. Howbeit The Most High dwelleth not in temples
made with hands; as saith the prophet, Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool:
what house will ye build me? Saith the Lord:
or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my
hand made all these things? (Acts
7:44-50) Know
ye not that YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that THE SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLETH IN YOU? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God
destroy; for the temple of God is holy, WHICH TEMPLE YE ARE. (1st Cor 3:16-17) In the book of Exodus, the Lord God
commanded of Moses to build him a tabernacle. It
was to be built according to his instructions, having explicit details, of complete
accuracy, leaving nothing undone. Moses
heeded to the words of the Lord and did built such a tabernacle, and the presence of the
Lord dwelt there. Moreover, King David also
desired to build for the Lord a house where he may dwell, where the Ark of the Covenant
may remain. But the Lord spoke to David through the prophet Nathan saying: Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the
LORD, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in: For I have not dwelt in an house
since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent,
and from one tabernacle to another. Wheresoever
I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I
commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars? Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant
David, thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following
the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel: And I have been with thee
whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and
have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth. Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel,
and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more;
neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning, And
since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD WILL
BUILD THEE AN HOUSE. And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired
that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will RAISE UP THY SEED after thee,
which shall be of thy sons; and I WILL ESTABLISH HIS KINGDOM. He shall build me an house, and I will stablish
his throne for ever. I will be his father,
and he shall be MY SON: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him
that was before thee: But I will settle him
in Mine house and in My kingdom forever: and his throne shall be established
forevermore. (1st
Chronicles 17:4-14) Thus King
Solomon, Davids son, built a house to the Name of the Lord as it is written: Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to
dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread,
and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons,
and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This
is an ordinance for ever to Israel. (2nd Chronicles
2:4)
. BUT
THEN CAME THE LORD JESUS, who delivered a more excellent plan, the perfect place where the Spirit of God would dwell forever, in an EVERLASTING Tabernacle. One that could not be destroyed nor torn down by the forces of evil. One that would not collapse under the weight, but would withstand the test of time, having been built on solid and sturdy foundation. One not made by human hands or brick and mortar, but made through changed hearts and yielded vessels. Where the Lord may then pour himself freely into its structure, and fill this house with His awesome presence and Glory! The Lord would call THIS TABERNACLE, this perfect place, HIS CHURCH! Being founded and established in such a way where only HE would receive the glory and praise for its beauty. No man will be able to praise himself over its glorious structure nor stand back and self-righteously proclaim Look at the House which I built! No one will be able to take credit for its design, nor profess to be its architect. Its designer IS the Lord. Its builder IS the Lord. The material used would be believing hearts and tongues that profess and confess HIM. He starts with one name Simon Peter. When the Lord asked of his disciples who do men say that I am? it was Peter who under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit spoke of a truth: Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Having a believing heart, and professing tongue, Peter would then be called The Rock upon which the Lord declared he would Build HIS Church! Peter would be given an awesome tool to use as a workman for the Glory of God. He would be given the KEYS of the Kingdom of Heaven, which by the Power of God would be able to unlock the door of the hard and stony hearts of man through the preaching and testifying of the TRUTH of the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord. Soul by soul, the MASTER builder, builds using the truth of HIMSELF as the solid foundation. We, His workman help in the building of this great tabernacle by daily supplying him with more material and as men, women and children hearts of stone begin to melt like wax, begin to open up to receive HIM, He continually adds to this magnificent tabernacle and seals each heart together with one another, by the POWER of HIS LOVE! In the end, what will stand is a glorious church, a magnificent tabernacle of which the gates of hell shall not prevail against. Here the Spirit of the Lord shall dwell. Here the Spirit of the Lord shall take up residence. Here the power of Almighty God shall be made manifest. Not in a building made of stone, but one made of the Spirit. This great tabernacle shall be cleansed and purged of all unrighteousness and of anything that may defile it, for the Spirit of the Lord will dwell not where it is unholy, but where there is holiness. Here, the Glory of His presence will be made known to ALL the world, and the light of His awesome Love will shine through. HIS
CHURCH, YOU AND I, THE BODY OF CHRIST, in fulfilling Gods awesome and glorious
plan, have now become The True Tabernacle of
God. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Rom 8:11) I love you all so very much. Have a blessed week in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE! May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always .
