This Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version) SPIRITUAL RENEWAL For
consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be
wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not
yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. And
ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son,
despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and
scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye
endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father
chasteneth not? But if ye be without
chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which
corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto
the Father of spirits, and live? For they
verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that
we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no
chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it
yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which re exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and
the feeble knees; and make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
(Heb 12:3-13) It
has been believed and preached (in so many words) by many, that upon ones acceptance
of the Lord Jesus Christ afterwards all would be perfect.
Life would be free of misery, of pain, of heartache, of struggle, of trial
and of tribulation. The Lord would be
available at ones beck and call, a year round Santa Claus so to speak,
where all one would need to do is hand Him their great wish list in the form
of prayer and their desires would be granted.
No matter how foolish and selfish the requests may be, he would delivered
them all. The trouble with this speech is
first, its all about SELF as an individual then accepts Christ out of the desire for
things, and not out of the need for HIM! The
other trouble is this speech is biblically INCORRECT for the Lord Himself said in this
world we would have tribulation, thus for one to assume we would have a trouble
free life after the acceptance of Christ is foolishness. Yet, many have believed this and when persecution
and trials arose, because of the lack of spiritual preparation and understanding,
theyve left the faith choosing the broader, easier road to walk upon in this life. Remember the Lord did not promise us
peace (as we know it) in this world, ONLY INWARD PEACE WAS PROMISED and this
we can obtain as our minds are stayed on him. Even
in the midst of sorrow and struggle, we can have this peace as the word declares: Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give unto you: NOT as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be
troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John Although
the road may be difficult, there are times given to rest as this walk is not all about
sufferings and pain, but about GROWING SPIRITUALLY into SONS AND DAUGHTERS of God, being
no longer CHILDREN tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. There is a difference of wisdom between a child whove yet to
learn through the hardships of experience, as oppose to a man whove walked that road
and have developed patience, endurance and even joy through his pain and suffering. It is the choice of the believer
whether or not to accept this growth as one could CHOOSE to remain a babe, a child but
remember that its not the child who receives the inheritance, but it will be those
whove grown into full maturity. For even
in the natural, a child cannot fully receive an inheritance until he/she becomes of LEGAL
age. It is the same with the inheritance from
our Father, we MUST become of spiritual age. To
get to this place of spiritual maturity, EVERY Born Again Believer who
professes Jesus to be Lord and Savior of their lives WILL suffer such persecution, chastisement, trials, tribulations,
spiritual attacks, and the like. Some more
than others, and the level of tribulation will depend upon how much of SELF has DIED and
how much of CHRIST LIVES WITHIN! If there be
any believers that declare to have a life free of suffering, I would then personally
question (without judgment) his/her relationship with Christ and HOW MUCH of his/her life
is truly surrendered to Him, and why the enemy would not find such a one to be a
threat so much so that he would bypass them.
You see, the enemy only attacks those who are speaking forth and living the TRUTH
as the TRUTH exposes the LIE, however those who have believed and are living the lie are
seemingly no threat, no hindrance to him and his work.
Such are they who have one foot in the world and the other in the church. Who live their lives one day out of the week for
the Lord, while the remaining time for themselves, apart from God. There is no other easier nor possible way for one
to spiritually grow, unless he/she be tested and tried through the fire for one cannot
adequately learn, without adequate experience. Jesus
himself taught us this through HIS OWN sufferings. Now,
the sufferings are not pleasing to the flesh for during this process self
dies, and all that is not of God is being stripped away and a wonderful transformation of
spiritual growth and maturity begins to take place. Let
us receive the help of the Holy Spirit to be patient during this time, for the blessed
outcome will far outweigh the present sufferings. Yes,
my brethren this is a difficult road we walk upon, but it is the ONLY road that leads to
LIFE! During our walk we may find ourselves in
desert land, dry and barren seeing no exits ahead, no end, no fork in the road, just
barren land and we may become weary, tired, hungry and thirsty. So, let us stop for a moment, rest and feed upon
the bread of LIFE, and drink upon the LIVING water that we may receive Spiritual Renewal. That we may INWARDLY be strengthened though our
flesh may be tired and weak, and then, continuing
onward beloved let us fight the GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH! For
we know we ALREADY have the victory through Christ Jesus our Lord! Come
unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am
meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matt I
Love you all so very much. Have a blessed week
in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL
for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE! The
Lord be with you this day and always! Shalom
Uvracha (Peace and Blessings)
