“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.   And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  And when these things begin to come to pass, then LOOK UP, and LIFT UP YOUR HEADS; for YOUR REDEMPTION DRAWETH NIGH.  And He spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and ALL THE TREES; when they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is nigh at hand.  So LIKEWISE ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.  Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY WORDS shall NOT pass away.  And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  Watch ye therefore, and PRAY ALWAYS, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”  (Luke 21:25-36)

 Awake O’ sleeping church, arise beloved bride of Christ, for the day of our Lord is fast approaching.   There is “No time for Slumber.”  Prepare yourself for the coming of our Lord, and bridegroom!  Remove your garments of mourning and put on the garment of praise!  For now is the time to REJOICE, and LOOK UP for your redemption draws nigh!  But, when He arrives will he find a faithful bride awaiting him, one who’s longing for his coming? Or,  will he find a bride who’d become weary of the wait, who’d not heeded to the warnings of his return, who believed she had more time to prepare.  Will he find a church that’d not shared him with others that they to may partake of the great wedding feast?  Will he find a church that played the “harlot” in the giving of herself to false gods, false doctrines and false teachings, who has abandoned her first love?   Will he find a church still sleeping, unaware that he’d returned?  Wake up beloved bride of Christ, there is “No time for Slumber.”

Read the written words of our beloved Lord and Savior here in the book of Luke, 21^st Chapter.  In it, he shares with us the events that are to take place before the day of his return.  In the book of Matthew He speaks of wars and rumors of wars, Nations rising up against nations and Kingdoms against kingdoms.  The distress of the nations is so evident, as when we look at the state of the world today, we can visibly see the changes that have taken place and the prophecy of the Lord being fulfilled.  Yet many within the Body of Christ, have not taken heed to his warnings but rather have chosen to live a life of disbelief.  For it’s been said “we are living in the last days” for so long, they’ve grown accustom to the speech and have neglected the warning.   However, this is the generation that shall see the coming of the Lord, and since we do not know of the day nor hour, we should be living as if ANY moment He may return, and should be LOOKING UP not back or around us.  Nor should we reject the warnings of the Lord and sit waiting in expectation for some other great sign and wonder for none shall be given except that which is written.  The threat of calamity should not catch us by surprise.  We need only to read the scriptures to know what lies ahead.  What has been written is FINAL and shall come to pass.

For a believer, none of what is happening in the world today should take us by surprise, nor cause fear and confusion.  Since we’ve been privileged to know the end results, there is no need of this.  In fact, now is the time NOT to put a veil over our faith and react as the world does by trembling in fear, but all the more EXPOSE our faith!   That they may see the HOPE IN US which is Christ Jesus the Lord and desire this hope also!  The message of our Lord we MUST share with ALL we come in contact with, that they may also have opportunity escape the devastation to come.  Now is the time to walk in the LIGHT of HIS LOVE, not hide in the shadows of darkness. The world MUST see CHRIST in US!   Now is NOT the time to shield who we are in Him,  exposing ourselves as believers ONLY one day out of the week in the presence of fellow believers, yet in the presence of unbelievers we become as they are.  Now is NOT the time to hide, but to boldly come forth, NOT to be silent but to boldly speak.   For there are many who will pass on from this life to eternity WITHOUT the Lord IF we remain silent!  Now is NOT the time to be idle, but to become busy in the Lord’s work.   What we must do, must be done quickly!   We must wake up and take heed to the words spoken to us through the scriptures.  Let NOT the Lord’s return catch us unaware. For when He returns for HIS BRIDE, ONLY those who are ready and spiritually AWAKE will go with Him.  Those who stand in disbelief now, will be left in disbelief then!   Wake up beloved bride and heed the voice of the Lord.  Now is NOT a time for sleep, there is “No Time for Slumber.”    

Every believer, every part, every member of the Body of Christ has a work to do!  And EVERY member is important and necessary for this work to be effective.  We have no time for foolish arguments and meaningless  debates which serves ONLY to keep us divided, but must utilize the time we have left WISELY in the coming together as ONE to bring Glory to the Lord.  Finally saints of God, remain FAITHFUL and TRUE to the one who loves us more than we can comprehend.  To the one who IS FAITHFUL in saying: “Behold, I come quickly….”  COME LORD JESUS, COME….
