Timely Insights into God's Word from Khandielese Reyes | |
This Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version) "MEDITATING ON THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD" REJOICE in the
Lord always: and again I say, REJOICE. Let
your moderation be known unto all men. The
Lord IS at hand. Be careful (anxious) for
nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests
be made known unto God. And the PEACE OF
GOD which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ
Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever
things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever
things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if their be any praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS. Those things, which ye have both learned, and
received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. (Phil 4:4-9) So often we allow the cares of this life and the things thereof, to
rob us of true abundant living through Christ Jesus our Lord. When our daily focus is on the things that
surround us, unexpected dramas, difficult trials and tribulations, we lose site of
the things that truly matter and forget that ALL things work together for good for
them that love the Lord. The image of
ourselves then becomes clouded and distorted as we present ourselves to the world as weak
and vulnerable, rather than who our Father says we are in Jesus Christ our Lord. WE can do ALL things through Christ
who strengthens us! Focusing only on
the what-ifs, the why, and how pulls us away from the ABSOLUTE, the CERTAINTY, the TRUTH,
what THUS SAITH THE LORD. All manner of confusion, doubt, despair,
and hopelessness sets in when our minds sway from Meditating
on the goodness of the Lord and HIS
WORD, to meditating on situations, circumstances, and the cares of this world. One of my favorite verses in the bible reads: Thou wilt keep him in PERFECT PEACE, whose
mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Is 26:3) This scripture gives us a promise of peace, and
shows us the way to obtain this peace. When
our minds are stayed on the Lord and the goodness of Him, no matter whats going on
around us, there is an assurance of peace. And
not just peace, but PERFECT PEACE.
A peace that will enable us to stand in the midst of any trial. A peace that gives us confidence that we can be
still and KNOW that He is God even when placed in the center of a storm. A peace that assures us our God is ALWAYS in
control of ALL things, and if he can part the Red Sea and allow the children of Israel to
walk through on dry land, SURELY he is able to take care of our needs. A peace that reminds us we serve the great I AM, not the great I
was, or the great Im going to be!
The Lord says, I AM the
God that delivers; I AM the God who
supplies your needs; I AM the God
who heals; I AM the God of your
salvation; I AM the God who
forgives; I AM the God who loves; I AM the God who fulfills; I AM the God of Peace which pass ALL
understanding. A peace that gives us HOPE
because we trust in Him. Here in the book of Philippians the 4th chapter, the
word of God tells us to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS and be anxious for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication WITH
THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known unto God.
We are to always give thanks in prayer, even when we dont physically
see the answer for we walk by FAITH and not by sight.
We know that his word IS truth and that which He has spoken he WILL bring to
pass according to OUR FAITH. Therefore, when
we pray confessing his word over a difficult situation in our lives, we are then
confident that our prayers have been answered. For
we serve a God who CANNOT lie, thus we can give thanks to the Lord and rejoice in ALL
things, for every solution to every problem can be found in the goodness of the Lord
through His word. Therefore, without
hesitation let our thoughts be of Him and our focus on His word. The assurance of peace is guaranteed when meditating on the Lord
and the goodness and truth of His word. Also, when our thoughts are on the Lord and His
word, we are reminded of who we are in Him. Through Him, we are not weak but strong; not
hopeless but hopeful; not empty but full; not defeated but overcomes; not losers but
winners; not fearful but FEARLESS! Being
children and heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ,
we have the ability through our Lord Jesus to always walk in victory for we
are MORE than conquerors through Him who
loves us. Peace
I leave with you, MY peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid (John 14:27) He is
our peace, He is our hope! May our thoughts
always remain in Meditating on the Goodness
of the Lord. I love you all so very much. Have a blessed week in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL for the GLORY of GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE! May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always . KhandieleseDaughter & Servant of the Lord God |
