This Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version) "HIS
MERCY ENDURES FOREVER" But God, who is RICH
IN MERCY, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins,
hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up
together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to
come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through
Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast. For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should
walk in them. (Eph 2:4-10) Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, THE FATHER OF MERCIES, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us
in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by
the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. (2nd Cor 1-3-4)
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER
(1st Chr 16:34) Since the beginning of time, and the creation of man, the Lord God
has poured his great mercy and grace upon humankind.
Even when we were dead in our sins, the Lord God, desiring NOT to destroy
the very works of his own hands, because of HIS MERCY and LOVE, prepared a way that we may
be raised to life, THROUGH FAITH in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Even the very gift of salvation was given out of grace and mercy as none
truly deserve it nor can it be earned, and as with any gift and/or promise of the Lord, we
receive it by FAITH! Throughout the scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, the mercy of
our Lord is demonstrated. From the fall of
Adam, to the rise of Christ and thereafter, God has been merciful unto we who are sinners
who have fallen short of his Glory. His LOVE,
greater than the love of man, His COMPASSION far supercedes the limited compassion in the
heart of man, Our Heavenly Father hears the cry of a truly repentant heart, and unto such,
he delivers HIS MERCY. He comforts the
broken hearted and gives strength to the weak and feeble, and all who come to Him, he will
in no wise cast out. There are those who are of the faith, that have received His Mercy
in the forgiveness of their sins with a truly thankful, humble and repentant heart. Their hearts are surrendered to the Lord, because
of his unfailing love for them, and the washing and cleansing them of all unrighteousness. Their past may have been soiled and dirty, filled
with lies and deceit, trickery and craftiness, drunkedness and lawlessness, lewdness and
sexual perversion, and all manner of wickedness
AND YET
.because HIS
MERCY ENDURES FOREVER when they cried out to him, He answered. And by FAITH, they received his word which
declares: If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness. (1st John 1:10) And as they have received the Lord Jesus with a
heart of true sorrow, and a desire to turn away from the corrupt ways of which
theyve known, the BLOOD, the PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LAMB OF GOD, rinses away ALL
the stench of the past and the sins thereof and no longer remembered. When one has lived a life once filled with
wickedness and corruption, and the Lord rescues such literally from the pit of hell, such
a one tends to have a heart as of the Lords, MERCIFUL. Such a one usually finds no difficulty in LOVING his/her fellow brother or sister, and FORGIVING those whove sinned against them
as he/she is so very humbled and consumed with gratitude to the Lord that their sins have
been forgiven. As the Lord spoke concerning
the woman considered by the Pharisees and all who were in the house, the woman
who broke the alabaster flask of fragrant oil and anointed his feet washing them with her
tears and drying them with her hair: Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven;
FOR SHE LOVED MUCH: but to whom LITTLE is forgiven, the same LOVETH
LITTLE. Then there are those who profess to be of the faith,
that have received his mercy in the forgiveness of their sins with arrogance, pride and a
sense of haughtiness. Their hearts are not
humbled, and tend to believe their sins were or are not so terrible, thus they are
better off than the next man who may have committed murder, or the next woman
who may have sold her body for profit. They
are like the Pharisee so FULL of themselves, who went into the temple to pray
in the book of Luke 18th chapter and spoke these words: God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men
are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or ever as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all
that I possess (vs. 11-12), and then
the publican (tax collector) praying also in the temple, was so ashamed of his
sins that he couldnt as much as lift his eyes to heaven, but simply beat upon his
chest and spoke the words: God be MERCIFUL to
me a sinner. (vs. 13) and the word of
God says that he went back to his home MORE justified than the other. You see, his heart was humbled. He hid not his sins, nor did he attempt to cover
his sins by professing all of the good things hed done, but simply asked
the Lord for MERCY and received just that. The
proud and arrogant Pharisee, who is like MANY within the Body of Christ, who religiously
followed the letter of the law, could only boast and brag in self-righteous arrogance. He was unaware that although he may have OUTWARDLY
did everything right, INWARDLY his HEART was CORRUPT and far from receiving and producing MERCY.
He believed that his good works would obtain the
Lords Grace and Blessings, However the Lord says in his word that He desires MERCY
and NOT sacrifice. What good are works, if
the heart is not right with the Lord. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain
mercy. Then, there are those who profess to be of the Faith,
who know of their sins and yet believe they can continue in sin as long as they
Confess their sins to the Lord. Such
have taken his Mercy for granted,
having no true desire for repentance, whose hearts are far from the Lord and having one
foot in the church and the other in the world, foolishly attempt to serve both. They believe that since His word speaks of
forgiveness, he would undoubtedly forgive, despite if such a one remain in his/her sins. How UNKIND
we are to the Lord, how very unkind and ungrateful. Does
the BLOOD mean anything at all? An individual
who continues in sin, lack the understanding that it is not enough to simply say
Im sorry over and over again, one must REPENT and true Godly sorrow will
lead to repentance. Yes, it is so very true that HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER, But the
word of God also declares: I will have mercy
on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have
compassion. May the peace of the Lord be with you today and always . KhandieleseDaughter & Servant of the Lord God |
