Weeks Message- (scripture taken from King James Version)
"CAREFUL
OF THE DOCTRINE YOU RECEIVE"
In
these very crucial and last days, you must be extremely careful of the doctrine you
receive and believe. Every word delivered must
be examined for biblical accuracy before being accepted as truth. For there is indeed a
strong spirit of delusion that has already captured the hearts of those who rejected the
truth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now,
this spirit seeks to persuade members of the body of Christ into believing a lie. Many have already accepted the lie and its
image, and are following diligently after forgetting all that they once knew as truth. More shall follow as the scriptures declare before
we are gathered together unto our Lord Jesus Christ, there shall come first a falling
away and the man of sin and son of perdition shall be revealed. (See II Thes
2:1-3) If we open our spiritual eyes, we
can clearly see that the prophetic word as written in the scriptures is unfolding and is
IMPOSSIBLE to deny. Thus it is vitally
important that we examine all doctrine for truth, expose the false doctrine as lies, and continue thou in the things which thou hast
learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that
from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto
salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
ALL scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable
for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good
works. (II Tim 3:14-17)
Works
vs Grace and Faith:
But
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we wee dead
in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in
heavely places in Christ Jesus: That in the
ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us
through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye
saved THROUGH FAITH; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the gift of God: NOT OF
WORKS lest any man should boast. (Eph
2:4:9)
The
word of God clearly declares that salvation is not based upon works but grace through
faith. Yet this false doctrine (of works) has
been around since the beginning of the church, and is still commonly preached today. It is a spiritually dangerous doctrine as it
totally nullifies the sacrifice made by our Lord in the offering of himself for the sins
of the world. And those who surrender to the
teachings of this doctrine are given false hope of salvation being taught that if they do
enough good deeds, they shall make it into the kingdom.
But, no amount of good deeds can earn a persons way to salvation. To believe so is to go against the word of God
which declares salvation as being a Gift.
If being a gift as the Word of God proclaims, how then can
a gift be earned? Therefore, this doctrine is not only false, but foolish as one
could spend his entire life working towards something he/she would never be able to obtain
and truly LOSE the opportunity to receive salvation thus spend eternity without The
Father. Before anyone can truly receive the
GIFT of salvation, he/she must FIRST acknowledge the need of a Savior. The delusion of works as a means of
salvation takes away the need of a savior and destroys the gift completely for the one
seeking. If your name is not found in the
Lambs book of life, you will not spend eternity with Father DESPITE all your good works. Thus, the way to salvation is ONLY found through
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, The Blessed Savior. If thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart tht God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved. For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Rom 10:9-10) Works
are of the flesh, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Therefore, as many as are led by the Spirit, these
are the sons of God.
Doctrine
of no repentance:
When
Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no
need of the physician, but they that are sick: I
cam not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (Mark 2:17) Likewise, I say unto
you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over ONE sinner that repenteth.
(Luke 15:10)
The
grace of The Lord God should not be taken lightly nor should it be taken advantage of. And yet, hearing doctrines that teach little to NO
repentance would appear to be doing just that. There
is very little taught on the importance of repentance when one comes to the Lord Jesus and
accept His Gift of salvation and eternal life. The
truth of the matter is without repentance, one cannot truly receive and appreciate the
gift of salvation. We are drawn to the Lord by
the power of the Holy Spirit. After our futile
attempts to try and make it in this world on our own, we reach a point where we realize
this task is impossible. Despite worldly accomplishments and fulfilled goals we still feel
an absence inwardly. There would be an
emptiness, a void of some sort that no matter what is done to attempt to fill it, we still
suffer inward lack. Disgusted by our way
of living we turn to the only one that can fill this void, we acknowledge we are in
need of a savior as we cannot save ourselves. Hearing
of His unfailing love, and selfless sacrifice in the giving of his life that we may live
and be reconciled to the Father, we come before him in shame, humility and total
repentance of heart seeking remission of sins and accepting the precious gift of salvation
and eternal life of which ONLY He can give. We
cry out in Godly sorrow over the sins that separated us from His fellowship while we
served the world and the things thereof, and thus we turn our backs on the old lives that
kept us bound and begin a NEW life in HIM. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold ALL things are become new. (II Cor 5:17) This
is the way it SHOULD be, however many come to the Lord for reasons OTHER than the
acknowledging need of a savior and very few truly repent of their sins but often return to
their old lives and believe as long as they are attending a once a week church
service, they are saved. They believe they can
continue to live their lives as lived prior to accepting His gift of salvation and all
would be well as long as they believe He is The Son of God and rose from the dead. But there is far more to salvation than this, for
even the devil and demons believe and tremble. Salvation
is NOT an act, but is a WAY OF LIFE. It begins
with repentance, acceptance, confession and baptism and what holds it all together is
FAITH. Change within begins when one truly
repents and thus accept his gift.
Doctrine
of Idol Worship:
Thou
shalt have none other gods before me. Thou
shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above,
or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor
serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers
upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing
mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. (Deut
5:7-10) Cursed be the man that maketh any
graven image, an abomination unto the LORD
(Deut 27:15)
The
word of God is very clear concerning idol worshiping.
An idol is anything or anyone that is placed in a position to be worshiped
as one would God. Not only is the worshiping
of idols sinful, but it is a great abomination to The Lord God. As absolute as the word of God is with regards to
idol worshiping, there are yet still millions of those who profess to be
Christians that follow after this twisted and false doctrine. For one to pray in worship to a carved,
painted, man made image that can neither hear nor speak is not only an abomination, but it
does not draw an individual closer to The Lord God but rather further away from the
knowledge of the truth. As professing Christians, we are to pray
to The Father Himself in the name of His Son Jesus. The Lord Jesus himself made this
possible through his sacrifice which reconciled us to our Father. Thus, as his children we can come directly to Him
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To
pray any other way is indeed spiritually damaging. But
equally as damaging if not more, is the praying to and the worshiping of man and this is
done consistently among religious leaders in the church today. To place a man in the position of greatness and/or
holiness is biblically incorrect for we are all (who serve the Lord Jesus Christ) ONE in
Him. Thus, no man nor woman should be esteemed
above the another. Despite ones good
works he is not greater nor less than his brother.
Even the apostles of our Lord who fulfilled His will in preaching the Gospel
and did great and marvelous things in His Name, refused the praise and worship of man
declaring themselves to be fellow servants of the Lord Jesus. Their example of humility needs to be strongly
practiced today by those in roles of leadership. For
while the Apostles rejected this sort of idolizing of man, the leadership today welcomes
it joyfully. Those who worship man as God is
guilty of sin, and those who receive the worship are equally as guilty. For we are to worship the CREATOR not the creation. Which is greater, He that created, or him that has
BEEN created? There is only ONE man that is
equal to God namely Jesus Christ our Lord for He and the Father are ONE. He is the ONLY one that can be called Holy, and
Sinless. According to scripture, All have
sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Thus,
ONLY Jesus can be titled His Holiness and ONLY GOD shall be called HOLY
FATHER! According to scripture: And call no man your father upon the earth: for
ONE is your Father, which is in heaven. (Matt 23:9) When
a man is worshiped as God, it takes the focus of the one who TRULY deserves praise, and
places it upon man himself and this sort of practice is an abomination.
You
must be Careful of the doctrine you Receive
and practice for there is only ONE truth and it is found in the Holy Scriptures which is
available for as many as would desire to read. It
is your responsibility to know what the scripture says concerning ALL things and you must
examine every word that is given you. If it
cannot be found in the Word of God, mark it as false doctrine and turn the other
direction. Do not follow after the doctrine
which leads to eternal damnation. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the
doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that
abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father AND the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this
doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth
him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. (II
John 9-11)
I love you all so very much. Have a
blessed week in the Lord and remember: Whatever we do, do ALL for the GLORY of
GOD, who ALONE is worthy of the GLORY and the PRAISE!
The Lord be with you this day and always! Shalom Uvracha (Peace and Blessings)
